[Technical] Question!
Okay, first thing first I have some trouble with technical issues even though I'm an IT student, I FAIL. OTL
Anyway, so the problem is, my mic records really low sounds.
I mean, I have to rock in my voice high just to get the expected volume I need so it's frustrating.
So, aside from buying a new mic (cause I'm awesomely poor) do you have some tips for me?
Like a software that amplifies the volume or sumthin' that doesn't destroy quality.
(please don't tell me to buy a new mic OTL)

Have the same problem too..LOL
And agreed, it was really hard to buy a new mic because of the price..;A;
*and it's expensive too to buy a mixer*
Well..I want to know to is there a way to get through this problem..
*I cant think other ways then buying a nice mic, since if you boosted the volume, it'll boost the noise too*
Re: [Technical] Question!
I really planned on auditioning to PCC as a singer and as an artist but since I can't record anything decent because of that problem, it left me with artist choice. T.T
Re: [Technical] Question!
Um..maybe you could try to boost the mic?
-Open up Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, and at the Sound, choose Manage Audio Device.
-Choose Recording tab, double click the Mic and will appear Microphone Properties window.
-Get the Levels tab, and you should see the Mic volume and below it will be a Boost volume. Just full it..or configure it as you want..XD
As for me, when I do that, the noise was like hell..*crying*

If I do that, more noises comes in and I'll be having trouble editing it and my voice will become weird. =\

Re: [Technical] Question!
^^^ I am using the mic with headphone too, aha ;;
You could probably mess with the microphone settings in audacity, the little slider thingy? Or you can try the noise removal? (though it makes the vocal sounds as if there's some echos sometimes. :u )

That's also my problem with the Noise removal effect. Though I might try a little different settings on my next try.
(I should have took music editing more seriously. >.>)

Re: [Technical] Question!
Thanks! I'll try more modifications. D: If something came up right or even wrong, I guess I'll post here again. XD
Re: [Technical] Question!
if it records low sound try using compressor.
i have a weak vocal. i use compressor to balance lound and soft.
though it not much different but the quality much more clearer i could say.

Re: [Technical] Question!
When using the noise removal effect, try to use it on the lowest setting possible or it'll start to distort your track. (Just a suggestion)LinzzVersa wrote:That's also my problem with the Noise removal effect. Though I might try a little different settings on my next try.
